The mythical Brigadoon Hotel in Scotland is spoiled with some of the finest golf courses in the world. Whether you are looking to splash out and play the championship golf courses or just want to experience some of the tradition that is Scottish golf our team will happily help you with recommendations and assist with tee times and reservations where we possible can.

We have selected some of the courses that we would recommend to our guests and created a couple of sample itineraries for you to run your eye over. The first features six of the best Championship courses in the country and if money is no object you could hardly do any better anywhere!

The second is more affordable and features six of our very favourite places to play golf in Scotland. The archetypal hidden gems and of course because this is the fantasy destination of The Brigadoon Hotel travel times just don't come into it. You step out of the front door of your accommodation and your there already!

Plan B Suggestions

It doesn't matter where your accommodation is located in Scotland it is pretty likely that you will have golf courses that are close to play for your guests. Golf travel splits very clearly into those that are travelling as golf as the primary motivation and increasingly this may be smaller groups, couples and ladies golf groups. It's dangerous to make assumptions about your golf travellers.

COVID is going to change the dynamic for some time to come but golf will remain one of the activities that will be attractive due to its social distancing and health benefits.

  • Create sample golf packages and publish them
  • If you can create them in your booking engine and sell DIRECT
  • Create a page for each of the favourite golf courses in your area and let the golf course know
  • Work with the golf courses to secure a net rate that you can sell to your customers
  • Look at sorting our golf club hire in case it is needed
  • Create an A4 PDF featuring green fees for the courses you recommend and link it to your golf pages as a downloadable fact sheet
  • Blog about golf events and updates on golf courses and special offers
  • Share the golf pages and blogs on your Facebook and Twitter pages
  • Market golf within your regular email marketing campaigns
