The Cottage at Brigadoon is a single level cottage located on the edge of our romantic and historic forest with old Celtic charm that has been lovingly renovated and comfortably furnished in a more contemporary Celtic style to accommodate up to six guests comfortably.
Its single level makes it easy to get around and the facilities have been adapted to accommodate less abled access and wheelchairs.
Open plan living space with traditional oak flooring and dressed with commissioned Highland rugs.
The seating area is a mix of old but supremley comfortbale leather settess and armchairs with tow symapthetic rocking chairs.
The Brigadoon does not have telelvision but offers high speed broadband and a state of the art music streaming system with B&W speakers in each room.
The traditional and original firepakce and hearth are still in place and an axe and woodpile are fully stocked in the adjacent cabin
Bedroom One is the master room has a king-size bed and en-suite with his and hers steel baths and sinks. The bed can be split into two large singles
Bedroom Two is set up with two large twin beds and this can become a double as required it also has an en suite with bath and over shower.
Bedroom three comes complete with double bed, bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.
Quality bed linen and towels are included as standard as are cosy robes and slippers - the laundry room is stocked with additinoal linen when required. Bedrooms can be cahnged to your own timetable but we do encourage gusts to consider our green credentials!
Travel cots and high chairs are available on request along with a number of other child and baby friendly accessories.
Ramps to front and rear with gently sloped access to the 40 square metre decking area overlooking the famous Brig and stream.
The property is carbon neutral with solar panels powering the heating and electrics and there are three connectors in the private car parking areas for charging electric vehicles.

A large fridge and separate freezer will do any family for a fortnight.

Please note: The property sits on the edge of a wild forest and is frequently visited by stags and the occasional unicorn. Honest.
As well as a clean design your website also needs to be able to take low cost DIRECT bookings and it is a given that you should be pushing the message Book Scotland Direct. We can install your current booking engine easily or recommend various options that will work for your property depending on your type of accommodation.
It is essential that even the smallest provider is able to offer real time direct bookings and with such a simple low cost options such as provided by SuperControl or Freetobook that is easily in reach.

The Brigadoon Cottage is the self catering property we would all love to own but mythical hotels that open one day in every 36,500 don't produce revenues needed. The current situation has highlighted the high fixed costs of running a hospitality operation in Scotland and perhaps has focussed the mind a little on what we can do to take back control of our own businesses post COVID-19. Plan B Digital have been building hospitality website since 1997 and we think that we do it as well as anyone and with a little more thought and creativity than most.
Right now thought, we all know that the challenge is to maximise revenues, reduce our costs and improve the direct business to our bottom line.
It is going to be neither simple nor straightforward. We are all having to think like a start up; we are going to have to throw out previous practices that are no longer relevant. Fundamentally, we are all going to have to accept that there is no way but the hard way and we are going to have to get used to it.
This site is a novel idea but one we should have implemented ten years ago but here we are in 2020 and we have acquired a mythical property in almost mythical economic times in a legendary country - in many ways this is an allegory of every hospitality business in Scotland.
The Cottage at Brigadoon is, we think, the very minimum that your self catering property should be doing on line. You can do an awful lot more and we can help you grow into that larger digital presence but for the meantime we think this structure will work for many and provide a growing source of direct bookings as the recovery kicks in.
