As The Brigadoon Hotel only exists only in digital space for most of its existence, it gives us considerably more time than the average hotelier to consider our marketing and product offering and as such we can boast luxury guest rooms, fine dining restaurants with views simultaneously across the Firth of Clyde, Forth and Dornoch. Everything you wish to see or do in Scotland is on the doorstep and when you transport yourself to The Brigadoon Hotel you can enjoy Scotland the way you dreamt it!
Our virtual guests benefit from the ability to play Royal Dornoch in the morning and Muirfield in the afternoon after a lunch overlooking Loch Ness and an evening of live rock music at WinterStorm in Troon.
Our Concierge Plus application features recommended attractions that include world class links golf courses, the best castles and country estates in the country and the best pubs and restaurants we can imagine.
The fact that The Brigadoon Hotel can transform from luxury boutique hotel to country house; from B&B to Self Catering apartments means that for training purposes it can feature a range of booking options and web booking engines and video brochures from the whole of Scotland. We will happily look at how we can integrate your preferred booking engine into a training page.
The Brigadoon is the hotel we would all love to own but mythical hotels that open one day in every 36,500 don't produce revenues needed. The current situation has highlighted the high fixed costs of running a hospitality operation in Scotland and perhaps has focussed the mind a little on what we can do to take back control of our own businesses post COVID.
We all know that the challenge is to maximise revenues, reduce our costs and improve the direct business to our bottom line.

It is not going to be neither simple nor straightforward. We are all having to think like a start up; we are going to have to throw out previous practices that are no longer relevant. Fundamentally, we are all going to have to accept that there is no way but the hard way and we are going to have to work smarter and identify short, medium and long term market changes.
This site is a novel idea but one we should have implemented ten years ago when we first thoughts about it but here we are in 2021 and we have acquired a mythical property in almost mythical economic times in a legendary country - in many ways this is an allegory of every hospitlaity business in Scotland.
There are no fixed plans for the content of the website and the concept is that every time a client requests advice on a certain area of their digital marketing we shall create it is a virtual case study. The hotel training site will evolve to reflect changing digital practices, concerns and opportunites. We will provide a series of downlaoadble briefings in each area we touch on and hopefully inspire a couple of businesses to do a little more with their online presence.
